About

One of my earliest memories is standing in the front yard, looking at an orange sky. As the sunset behind my grandparents' farm, I just stood there, mesmerized by its beauty. It was the first time I had witnessed an orange sky and knew this encounter was significant. The evening was warm. The air was still. Calmness enveloped my existence. I could've remained in that moment forever.

This was the first time I felt completely enchanted by nature. It was also the first time I felt a great sense of loss. As the sun slowly dissolved behind the horizon, the sky changed and its beauty faded.

At the time, I couldn't find the right words to describe this unusual experience and my need to experience it again. Now I believe, in that moment, I became an aspiring artist.

Throughout my life, I've carried this memory. It followed me into the halls of the Columbus College of Art and Design, shadowed me through the campus of Ohio University, and then led me into the world of professional photography. With every image, I strive to capture the same enchantment felt upon that quiet hill in Ohio.
